Nike once again collaborates with Off-White designer Virgil Abloh to create a brand-new masterpiece, celebrating the indomitable champions in the athletic arena. Virgil incorporates his distinctive patterns into performance shoes designed for speed, shaping an iconic look that reflects the unbound style of athletes on and off the court. The shoes carry on Nike's rich history in athletics and pay tribute to athletes who strive for excellence. The Nike x Off-White Vapor Street, based on the popular running shoe, features Shoe Studs and a Multicolor Design, reimagining the classic in Virgil's unique style.
In January 1964, University of Oregon track athlete Phil Knight and his coach, Bill Bowerman, founded Blue Ribbon Sports, the predecessor to Nike. In 1972, they began designing and producing their own footwear and named the brand Nike, after the Greek goddess of victory.
